what about us?

Two young women saw the impact of misinformation in the world and decided to help rebuild the relationships between people and data.

story

The Pandemic shook the world. Just like everyone else, it shook our world. In the past few years we have seen more than ever how information is used, contorted, and weaponized for individual gain.

Out of a need for creative freedom, expression, and also for connection and community, Amberlis was founded. We both wanted to keep learning and expanding our knowledge and put it to good use.

Therefore, we find ourselves trying to bridge the gap between how information is disseminated and understood. Slowly but steadily we hope to help people connect and learn.

vision

Our vision for ourselves and the world is ever expanding and changing. But what we know for sure is that we have to start somewhere.

We truly believe the first step starts with us, so we decided to be the change we want to see in the world. Together, brick by brick, we aim to build a better tomorrow.

mission

Which means that our mission is to expand our reach and meet people where they are at. We believe we can achieve that by making education and staying informed as comprehensive and accessible as we can.

Through hard work and dedication we hope to grow and learn ourselves, and extend a helping hand to pay it forward.

we are not just numbers

Statistics can be used to tell a story, and in the right hands, that story can help. However, these numbers can’t paint the full picture of the human experience. The stories we want to tell highlight the value of being informed, of being open to what the world has to offer in its diversity, and most importantly, the value of working together to help each other grow, each to the best of our abilities.

what do we believe in?

Welcome to our website and thank you for being here! I am Ruxandra Schitea, the founder of Amberlis. This project started back in 2021, out of the desire to share small pieces of knowledge with those around me. Since then, Amberlis has taken many forms, but the goal has always remained the same: to bring information closer to people.

In the digital age, when we are assaulted from all directions by all kinds of information, it becomes increasingly difficult to sort through it, check its accuracy and ensure that it does not, in fact, distort reality. We want to actively contribute to the fight against disinformation and lay the foundations for a creative, responsible and constantly learning community.
